Hawthorn (War Horse)
Hawthorn is a brown Heavy Cav­alry horse with Strength 3, Dex­ter­ity 3, Sta­mina 4, Wits 4 and Intel­li­gence 2. He can com­mu­ni­cate silently with any­one rid­ing him or in skin-to-skin con­tact. At will, or at the rider’s com­mand, Hawthorn is instantly garbed in a full (horse-shaped) set of plate armour which will absorb 3 bash­ing or 3 lethal dam­age from every suc­cess­ful hit against him. The rider is not sim­i­larly pro­tected. The armour is engraved with a poppy design, and can be dis­missed as eas­ily as it is summoned.

Mem­o­ries of the Fallen (Duke Poppy’s Sword)
This sword is car­ried by the Duke — or in his absence, the Crown Prince — of House Poppy. It does not nor­mally have phys­i­cal form until its wielder requires it, where­upon it forms in his hand or at his waist. It is a poppy-red heavy cav­alry sabre with gold and black engrav­ing, approx­i­mately three feet in blade length, with a one-handed grip. It deals a base dam­age of Strength+4L at dif­fi­culty 6. Its damage-dealing capac­ity increases by 1L for each noble ally of the wielder who has so far fallen in the cur­rent battle.

Duke Poppy’s Signet Ring
This ring is worn by the Duke — or in his absence, the Crown Prince — of House Poppy. It sig­ni­fies sta­tus, and if shown to any noble the wearer’s sta­tus is imme­di­ately con­ferred. It enti­tles the wearer to peti­tion the King, Queen or rul­ing Coun­cil of Fairy­land. Nei­ther it, nor its impres­sion in wax, can be forged.
