Abel has the ability to use cantrips that he does not inherently know, so long as he has access to a written text detailing a ritual for performing the cantrip or a considerable volume of research into the cantrip.

Abel is known to have used the following spells in this manner:

Archmagus Maledictor’s Great Day Out for All the Family
Transports a group of faeries to an area of the human world related to a concept that they all hold prominently in their mind at the moment of teleportation. If one or more traveller is distracted or thinks of a different image, hilarity (or at least redirection) ensues. The principal caster of the spell can return the entire group at will, unless there are nearby humans, in which case their banality must be overcome first.

Treasures

Starfire (War Horse)
Starfire is a Light Cavalry horse with Strength 3, Dexterity 4, Stamina 3, Wits 4 and Intelligence 2. He can communicate silently with anyone riding him or in skin-to-skin contact. At will, or at the rider’s command, Starfire gains an instantaneous burst of speed during which he can gallop at 80 feet per second in a straight line. Stopping or turning a corner deactivates the ability, which takes three turns to recharge.

House Poppy Library
Abel effectively maintains the library of House Poppy. While not extensive, it does contain a lot of obscure texts that Abel is particularly fond of. It also contains various books concerning the use of magic.
